The majority of our guests travel by public transport

Hotel guests receive the Bern Ticket, allowing them to use public transport in the city of Bern free of charge during their stay

Our guests are provided with a Hotel Bären am Bundesplatz glass bottle in their room - they can fill it up with drinking water from the tap

The majority of our products come from the region:

- our bread is delivered fresh daily from the Storchen Bakery across the street
- we get our eggs from Seelandei in Ammerzwil

We have replaced the air conditioning units and converted to a water-based, efficient cooling system

We heat with district heating from the waste incineration in Bern

Energy-efficient renovation of the entire establishment, including windows and facades

Our rooms do not have a mini-bar. Instead, the WohnBar is available to our guests 24 hours with refreshing drinks and snacks.

 

The Hotel Bären am Bundesplatz participates in the Swisstainable sustainability programme of Swiss Tourism and fulfils the criteria for Level 1 classification. We are committed to sustainable corporate management and are constantly developing our business in the direction of sustainability.
